Arduino Quad Drum DIY
Arduino Drum
This tutorial consists of making an Arduino Drum. I will use the piezo sensor as a sensing device in this project. Zener diode and Resistor is the voltage regulator. The Arduino Uno (development kit) is the main processing unit.
On the impact of any hard object to the piezo sensor, it emit's electronic signal. All these signals are processed by the development kit.
2) Piezo Sensor
3) 1 Mega Ohms Resistor
4) 5.1 Volt Ziner Diode
5) Perforated Board
6) Jumper Cord's
7) Computer Or Laptop
Step 3) Now connect the ground (positive of the diode) to make a common ground.
Step 4) Now connect the VCC of the piezo sensor to the Vcc of the parallel circuit and ground to the ground of the circuit.
Step 5) Now repeat the step 4 for all the sensor's as shown in pictures.
Step 6) Then we have to connect the Arduino (development kit) with the circuit. This can be done by connecting the Vcc and GND of the circuit as follows

Apparatus Required:-
1) Arduino Uno2) Piezo Sensor
3) 1 Mega Ohms Resistor
4) 5.1 Volt Ziner Diode
6) Jumper Cord's
7) Computer Or Laptop
Procedure
Step 1) Connect the VCC and GND to the jumper wires using solder.
Step 2) Now we have to connect the 1 megaohm and 5.1volt ziner diode in parallel as connected in the diagram below.Step 3) Now connect the ground (positive of the diode) to make a common ground.
Step 5) Now repeat the step 4 for all the sensor's as shown in pictures.
Step 6) Then we have to connect the Arduino (development kit) with the circuit. This can be done by connecting the Vcc and GND of the circuit as follows
- Vcc of piezo 1 to A0 of Arduino
- Vcc of piezo 2 to A1 of Arduino
- Vcc of piezo 3 to A2 of Arduino
- Vcc of piezo 4 to A3 of Arduino
- Ground of circuit to gnd of Arduino
Step 7) We have to download the software and readymade code from this link (Arduino files) and download the Arduino Integrated Development Environment and install it in your host device (pc, laptop)
Step 8) Now we have to add the midi file to our Arduino Integrated Development Environment these files are in Arduino files.T hen we have to connect the Arduino Uno.
NOTE:- IF WANT TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE ARDUINO UNO TO HOST AND LOAD THE CODE IN IT THEN YOU MAY VISIT MY ANOTHER BLOG (Arduino-How to download.)
Step 9)Now we have to install these software's Hairless Software Setup, loop Setup
after the installation, we have to open the hairless midi serial bridge and here we have to set the input port to the Arduino the port details which we have to connect is viewable in the suggestion box.
Step 10) Now we have to open Midi Loop Software, Create a port and Copy that port name to the Hairless-midi series bridge Output section.
Step 11) Now Download FL studio (from this link F L Studio Download) and, install it. Then we have to open FL-studio.
Now on every beat of the drum with a stick will give you a sound which can be changed from fl studio.
Enjoy...
I have also made a complete video of this tutorial so for better understanding, you may see my video.
